At Hiving, our utmost respect for the privacy of site visitors is evident in the steps we have taken to ensure that your privacy is secure whenever you partake in any type of activity on our site. Every personal piece of information that is attributable to an individual is securely stored in our database, located in France.

The information we collect

Some personal records are gathered during your subscription to our panel, as we typically request the following information during the initial registration phase:

• Title,
• First Name,
• Last Name,
• Birth Day,
• Email Adress,
• Country of residence.

Additionally, information regarding your consumer profile and interests is also collected through our registration form (concerning Automotive, Finance, Health, Beauty, Hobbies, High-tech, Household, Food and Travel interests/consumption).

Sensitive Information:
The gathering and storage of personal data by Hiving can involve sensitive information such as health status and ethnic background.

Note:
Hiving may retain the email correspondence records of individuals who contact us via email. The same correspondence archival may apply to individuals that participate in survey responses, feedback commentary, message boards, and other avenues of communication on our website

Cookies Usage

Operating as small text files within your computer’s hard drive, data-keeping cookies ease the navigation of our website; for instance, the use of these cookies while using the login-in portal on our website ensures that you do not have to redundantly enter your log-in information several times a day.

While online surveys are taken, data collection may also occur through the use of cookies. It is important to note that these persistent cookies do not keep records of personal data or confidential information.


• To ensure that we don’t redundantly send you the same surveys, data from your computer’s software and hardware (such as your IP address, browser format, and type of operating system) are tracked by Hiving.


• Links to other websites and advertisements from third-party groups may be placed on Hiving’s website interface, however, Hiving has no control over the circulation of any third-party cookies. And since Hiving has no responsibility concerning the privacy policy of third-party websites and advertisers, you are welcome to review the websites of these third-party groups for any pertinent information.

Personal Information Usage

Hiving may use your personal data to:

• Email you online survey invitations for market research purposes
• Email you account information concerning rewards and payments
• Provide you with updates regarding our panels and any relevant changes
• Update our membership records to ensure our panelists continue to receive surveys that match their unique profiles .
• Evaluate survey responses in the production of confidential market research data (And while our clients may receive your individual survey answers for research purposes only, this information is always provided anonymously unless you specifically indicate otherwise)
• Present statistical profiles of consumer demographics to market research and advertising firms, as well as potential partner organizations. All such information furnished to third-party groups are statistical-only and gathered through the information Hiving members provide on their registration forms.

Protecting your information

Your password is key to protecting your personal information. Consequently, it is important to never share your password with anyone else. Additionally, you should always remember to log-off from our member area and close the browser window when finished with your session, especially if you are sharing a home computer or using a public computer at a library or Internet café, for instance.

Despite the advanced security initiatives we have undertaken to protect your personal information on the Hiving website, it is impossible to make a 100% guarantee against an Internet security breach, and as such, Hiving cannot be held responsible in these situations. Yet, in the event of such an unlikely breach, we will do our best to ensure system-wide security on the Hiving site.

Updating, Correcting, and Deleting your Information

Your Hiving Member Account can always be deleted through our unsubscribe page. Additionally, panelists that fail to meet Hiving’s registration requirements or fail to complete a minimum amount of surveys will be unsubscribed automatically.

Prior to the cancellation of any membership data, a minimum of 2 notifications will be sent in order to explain how the panel membership can still be maintained. Furthermore, Hiving is within its rights to close or restrict the availability of any member account if it is determined that our Terms and Conditions have been violated.

• Member information may be additionally disclosed by Hiving in limited circumstances when such disclosure is necessary for the investigation or prosecution of members who may have 1) threatened or harmed the Hiving company and/or its reputation or 2) violated the Hiving company’s terms and conditions.


• Despite an account deletion, some data records will continually be maintained by Hiving, such as email communications, postings on Hiving message boards, and anonymous survey data.

Hiving reserves the right to amend, revise, and adjust the details concerning its Privacy Policy as necessary and without written notice
